Do You Get Benign NSVT?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Louisville, AL

I am having a hard time. I get runs of NSVT about once a month and they terrify me. I'm on verapamil and metoprolol and my electrophysiologist said it's okay that I'm having the NSVT as long as it isn't prolonged, but it scares the life out of me every time and leaves me feeling very vulnerable. If anyone has any stories of hope, that would be appreciated (please nothing scary, I just can't handle it today).

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

NSVT is non-sustained ventricular tachycardia. It's a type of arrythmia.

Did Anyone, After An Ablation, Have An Iatrogenic ASD? If So, Did It Heal, Or Did You Have To Have It Surgically Repaired?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
London, OH

I just had a transesophageal echo to check the placement of the Watchman device and the report shows an Iatrogenic ASD (a hole in the septum between the left and the right atria) which was not there prior to the ablation (done at the same time as the Watchman) Just wondering how common this is and what are the long term effects. If not checking the Watchman, would probably not have known this had happened.

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

I’m presuming the ablation. They haven’t said.

What Is Considered A Good Score On An Echo?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Brooklyn, NY

I saw my cardiologist last week and he had me do an Echo. He called me yesterday and told me that the echo was good and was better than the last one (18 months ago). I checked my app and it said the LVEF was 45%. The echo from 18 months ago was 41 - 45%. What is the context of these numbers. What is a "good" score and what isn't? Thanks in advance.

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

Really that sounds encouraging thank you

Does Double Vision Have Anything To Do With Heart Issues?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Waupun, WI

I had double vision and a TIA 4 months before my heart attack but then also had two bouts of double vision the evening of my heart attack. Was going to drive myself to the ER but then the horrific jaw pain and sweating began so I knew it was an attack and woke up my husband to take me.

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

Yup, that's what I did. Calling 911 is the best.
