Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart suddenly stops pumping blood due to a malfunction in its electrical system. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Survival Rates: About 90% of people who experience out-of-hospital cardiac arrest die. However, nearly 45% survive when bystander CPR is administered.
- Case Example: Steve Regier experienced cardiac arrest while running. Bystanders Amanda Carrillo and Cooper Phillips administered Hands-Only CPR until EMS arrived, which significantly contributed to his survival.
- Causes: Steve's cardiac arrest was due to a combination of factors, including epinephrine intake, physical exertion in extreme heat, and undiagnosed fungal pneumonia.
- Treatment: Upon arrival at the hospital, Steve was put into a medically induced coma and his body temperature was lowered to reduce the risk of brain damage.

Thanks for response, unfortunately those options won't work. Living in senior housing, most are on walker and pretty set in their ways n friendships. Have limited income so can't do gym and no room for excerise equipment in apartment. But thanks for suggestions.😊
