We are in a fight with NYC insurance for retiree’s. It has been a 3 year battle so far we are winning. They want to take away out blue cross blue shield and GHI,and put us in a Medicare advantage plan. Those plans have pre approvals and sometimes takes months to get approval. Also a lot of the hospitals are opting out .
We have attorneys as so far are winning to keep our benefits.

Thank you . My husband worked 32 years for New York City housing authority as an elevator repair and then inspector . Dangerous conditions , Bronx queens, Harlem , Brooklyn , Manhattan . Travelled 1 1/2 hours one way and back 1 1/2 houses back home. He was robbed twice on the job and shot at from roof tops .
Mayor Adams is working against all retirees . We live upstate NY so we can’t vote him out . This is also affecting DC 37 teacher’s retirees.
