Did You Know? The Mediterranean Diet Is Good For Your Heart Health

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
South Lake Tahoe, CA

Did you know? The heart-healthy Mediterranean Diet ranks #1 out of diets and this is its 7th year! I prefer to be a vegetarian/vegan but once a week I will eat fish such as salmon and include fresh herbs like thyme, spices like pepper, and fresh salmon. As I write it bakes. As the author of the popular Healing Powers series -- based on this diet -- I recommend the diet. I have stayed lean, never hungry, and you get a nice balance of superfoods.

STILL VERY TIRED AFTER 2 WEEKS

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hawkesbury, ON

I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago, and had 4 stents put in. I am schedule for multi bypass surgery in September. They told me that I should start to slowly walk after 2 weeks since the heart attack, but I just don't have the wind or the energy to walk. All I do is sleep. I'm 64 years old, and prior to the heart attack I had more energy than this. Is it normal for me to be so very tired after 2 complete weeks of total rest and sleep?
Thank you.
